Couples Therapy

Relationships move through many phases, and even strong partnerships can hit stretches where connection feels harder to find. Couples therapy offers a private, nonjudgmental space to slow down, understand the patterns that show up between you, and strengthen the way you communicate, resolve conflict, and support one another.

My approach to couples work integrates several evidence-based models, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), and solution-focused strategies. I have completed training in couples therapy through the University of Guelph. Depending on what you and your partner need, you can expect a balance of understanding the deeper emotions and cycles beneath your conflicts and learning practical tools to communicate, reconnect, and move forward together. My role is to guide the process with compassion and collaboration, without taking sides.

I work with all couples, though I have a particular focus on partners navigating the early years of parenting, a season that can strain even the most solid relationships through sleep deprivation, shifting roles, and less time for each other.

I am inclusive and affirming, and I work with all kinds of couples, including LGBTQIA+ couples and non-monogamous relationships.
